A THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

December 29, 2018

Speak now – we may not have much freedom to do so. Do your friends and family know about Jesus?

Jean Chamblee's Weblog

As I was re-reading the Book of 2 Thessalonians this morning, I wondered and began to pray, “Lord, have I said enough? If we get cut off electronically or otherwise, has everyone in my sphere of life heard the truth about You, the second coming, and the necessary warnings about the anti-christ and the beast system that You Lord have not hidden, because it is written in Your Book. (Bible). Are people even reading the Bible? (I know many of you are) Do they know the consequences and danger they may be in by not knowing the truth?

Jesus greatest concern about the people alive at the end of the age was “deception”. (Matthew 24) He even wondered if He would find faith on earth when He returned. Do people know there will be a great falling away? (from the true faith) even some that called themselves Christians and may…

THE PAINTERS HOPE – POETRY

December 15, 2018

Jean Chamblee's Weblog

We paint upon the canvas

Of our childrens very souls

What picture we do paint

Will forevermore be told

Not one of perfection

Does our dear Lord require

But an honest projection

Our need for Him is dire

We paint on them forgiveness

Our lives can be a mess

We show them how great His love

Our sins we must confess

We paint an honest picture

Denial to avoid

As we come before the Lord

His mercy we implore

We paint upon them hope

Of an ever loving God

One we need not hide from

Who is alway on our side

We paint upon them grace

That can never be earned

Freely given to us

His character we learn

We paint upon them attitude

Of a humble heart we choose

Always bowing down our heads

Or else there’s much we’ll lose

We paint upon them seeking

The One who should…

Judgement Begins In The House Of The Lord – A House Of Merchandise

December 9, 2018

Malichi 3 “Behold, He is coming,” Says the Lord of hosts. But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire And like launderers’ soap. He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the Lord An offering in righteousness…”

1 Peter 4:17   “For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?”

I (Jean Chamblee Thomas)  also had a dream this past year along these lines.   In the dream there was an elevator and all of a sudden the ground opened up and the elevator began to fall.  I was  standing on top of it – but not in it.  I jumped off and grabbed the soil, climbing to the top.  As we looked down the hole we could see there was lava at the bottom and the elevator continued a slow slip downward then got stuck.  There were two fireman at the top and one started suiting up.  His buddy said “you know it’s too late, it would be suicide.”  We were sad as we looked, knowing it was heating up inside the elevator with people in it.

The interpretation:    The elevator was the modern church.  They thought they were going up – but in fact they were going down and becoming more like the world and worse.  I was standing on top because I had seen this truth and didn’t want to be a part but felt bad and wanted to stay close.  I successfully disconnected from this kind of church (it took a few years for me to fully see it because I didn’t want to).   The fire/lava at the bottom was God’s judgement.  “He comes as a refiner’s fire”  and it was hot and was going to burn many things up,  if not all.  I did not see it fully decend into the lava.  There was no way a man (fireman)  could rescue the people trapped in it.  Only God could have done it –   perhaps repentance if they will acknowledge that what they do is displeasing to the Lord.   Heat/lava – is trials and great tribulations.
